Overview of IT operations strategy:
- To ALIGN: This step includes reviewing the existing IT setup of the department concerned and creating a proposal which will align it with the visions of the future. This shall form the first step of the IT operations assessment.
- To ANALYSE: This step includes the creation of an understanding of the current IT infrastructure of the department, defining of key objectives and goals with regards to IT, and the creation of success measurements. This shall form the second step of the IT operations assessment.
- To ASSESS: This step includes the identification of areas which need to be improved for the IT setup of the department to function at full capacity and accept maximum workload. The barriers to the full growth of the IT infrastructure in the department must also be identified. This shall form the third and penultimate step of the IT operations assessment.
- To ADVISE: This step includes the setting up of roadmaps which will guide the changes that are to take place. Suggestions for bridging gaps must be made and incorporated as part of the assessment.
